Beringea makes follow-on investment in Starbridge Media Group

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Beringea, a global venture capital investor in emerging media, has made a follow-on equity investment in Starbridge Media Group, Inc. Starbridge is a Washington, D.C.-area based sports-focused TV production, publishing, rights ownership and marketing agency.

Jeff Bocan, Managing Director at Beringea, said the capital will be used to accelerate growth, expand operations and invest in new content. "We are enthusiastic about the progress Starbridge has made to date--they are at a tipping point in terms of the development of the business. Beringea's new investment will allow the management team to capitalize on exciting opportunities before them and solidify their position as creative leaders in the sports marketing world," Bocan added.

Recent Starbridge projects have included t he national roll-out of the "NASCAR Comics" branded publications (including the first two issues of "NASCAR Heroes") and a third season of television production of the Emmy Award-winning "Eagles Kids Club Show" with the Philadelphia Eagles. Starbridge is also the exclusive sponsorship agency for the Washington Wizards, the sales agency for the Greater Washington Sports Alliance, and exclusive representation of former Washington Redskins great Darrell Green.
