Beringea portfolio company to executive produce WGA Awards show Feb. 11
LOS ANGELES-- The Writers Guild of America West has selected Blaze TV's Conor MacAnally and Bart Peters to executive produce Sunday's awards gala at the Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles. Blaze TV is a division of Shout! Factory, a portfolio company of Beringea, a global media venture capital investor. Beringea's Global Rights Fund II led a January 2005 equity funding round in Shout! Factory, an L.A.-based independent producer and marketer of DVD/video and audio consumer products.
Comedian Robert Wuhl will host the Writers Guild event, with presenters to include Steve Carell, Marc Cherry, Aaron Sorkin, Diane English, and Morgan Freeman, who will bestow Robert Benton with the Guild's Screen Laurel Award for lifetime achievement.
Shout! Factory is a broad-based pop culture entertainment label started by the cofounder and two long-term senior executives from Rhino Records (later sold to Warner Music Group under Time Warner). Shout! Factory's product offering includes a wide array of popular, sometimes niche video and audio entertainment across a variety of pop culture genres.
Examples of recent Shout!
