Beringea launches ‘From the Start-up Trenches’ hosted by Eyal Malinger

New video series will examine the mistakes that shape start-up success

Eyal Malinger, Partner at Beringea, recently launched ‘From the Start-up Trenches’, a new video series that will shed light on the stumbling blocks faced by founders and CEOs on their journey to scaling successful start-ups.

The inspiration for the series comes from the relative lack of discussion of the missteps and mistakes that often underpin start-up innovation and growth. As Eyal commented: “We realised…that there were simply not enough stories “from the trenches.” Founders would stick to the positives and would not touch on the reality of the life of a start-up.”

Instead, Eyal sought to be able to spotlight and champion these inevitable setbacks as part of the road to success: “We believe that it is vital that founders and would-be founders hear these stories — in such a challenging and often lonely position, it is essential to understand that we’re all human and we all make mistakes (sometimes big ones!).”

To launch the series, Eyal sat down with Chris Edson, CEO and co-founder of Second Nature - the digital programme for losing weight and building healthy habits - and Taymoor Atighetchi, CEO and founder of Papier - direct-to-consumer personalised stationary brand.

Watch the interviews below for insights from Chris into people and leadership within fast-growth start-ups, alongside perspectives from Taymoor on paper people, being a solo founder, and choosing the right people for his business.
